The Recollective is a carefully curated second hand fashion boutique located in Ottawa, Canada. Previously founded as PreLoved Ottawa, the business rebranded under the name The Recollective after 5 successful years as one of the leading consignment stores in the region. Known for it’s Instagram shopping, The Recollective set itself apart from other secondhand stores in the city by selling gently worn clothing, handbags and accessories through ‘daily drops’ in their Instagram stories.
Owned and operated by sisters Carla and Kelly Bourada, the two have built a strong and reputable relationship with their consignors and customers and have shown the fashion community the importance and benefits of shopping sustainably and second hand.
Meet Co-founder Kelly
Kelly has always had an interest in fashion since a young age. She brings 10+ years of experience from working in the fashion industry in Toronto.
She worked in retail, in wholesale, and corporate fashion offices and gained the knowledge and deep understanding of the industry that she translates to her own business today.
Meet Co-founder Carla
Carla brings a diverse background in management, from children’s apparel to the salon & spa industry where she worked alongside her parents in their family owned business for many years.
She now prides herself on juggling motherhood + business ownership and looks forward to the exciting challenges they bring day to day!
