We are FULL for consignment currently. We’ve been receiving an overwhelming amount of submissions, therefore we will not be accepting any more submissions for the remainder of September.

The process is listed below for reference. Please do not submit a consignment request now as it will not be reviewed. We will update the site when we are accepting again. Thank you!
Pieces must have been purchased from the past two years or they will not be considered (unless they are vintage). Specific items we are looking for at this time are Fall layering pieces, oversized button up shirts, sweaters, long sleeve tops, Fall dresses, and matching sets.
Footwear has proven to be a difficult category for us. Please note we will be very selective with footwear submissions.
For reference, here is some information on our consignment process. We accept clothing, accessories, jewellery, footwear and handbags for consignment.
Our goal is to offer our customers the best selection of curated second-hand goods. We will be selective with the items we choose to take in. Your items must meet our guidelines in order to be considered for consignment.
Please bring maximum one bag with 15 pieces for consideration. Please ensure you read our consignment FAQ below prior to bringing your items in.
If you have designer items to consign, we are always accepting new designer accessories and clothing. Designer brands we are always accepting include Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Chloe, Hermes, Burberry and some more select brands. You may contact us to discuss rates and fees for designer consignment items priced over $500.
- How does the consignment process work?
Once your items are brought into us and reviewed, they will be added into our inventory system. It may take up to 3 weeks after drop off to receive pricing for your items. They are kept in inventory on a consignment basis and the consignor receives a percentage of each item sold. If items are not sold after 60 days, they will automatically be donated to our charity partner. We partner with the Youville Centre in Ottawa, which is a local charity who helps to create a brighter future for young mothers and their children. You have 60 days to collect unsold items if you choose note to donate, although we highly recommend it :). Note, we will not donate any designer items.
- What are the consignment rates for the consignor?
The consignor receives 40% of the sale price for each item under $100, and 50% for each item over $100. We offer negotiable competitive rates for designer items up to 80%. Please contact us for these rates.
- What condition should my items be in?
Your items should be in like-new condition and the styles should be relevant. We will not accept any styles that are over 2 years of age, unless they are vintage. We will not accept anything with pilling, holes, pulls, stains, or smells. Please fold your items neatly in a bag, or hang them in a garment bag.
- What are your preferred brands?
We accept designer and contemporary brands. Please see the specific preferred brands in the two below sections. Please contact us to inquire about our preferred men's brand list.

- What are your consignment drop off hours?
You may drop off pre-approved items any time during our open store hours. If you'd like to book an appointment to drop off items, instead of sending in photos, please contact us by phone 613-728-2020.
- How do you buy items from The Recollective?
Through our instagram, in store and now online on our website 24/7! We sell through our instagram stories but we also have a new location at 1281B Wellington Street West in Ottawa.
We post new items daily on Instagram between 2:00-3:30pm EST. It's a first come, first served basis so act quick! Send us a DM when you see something you like and we will let you know if it's available. If so, we take payment via e-transfer.

- What sizes do you offer?
We are a size inclusive shop, and we aim to always have options for every size. Sometimes we might have more sizes in stock than others, but we try to keep a balanced inventory as best as we can.
- How do I pick up my purchase?
For Instagram purchases: Please contact us via e-mail or DM at least 24 hours prior to your proposed pick-up time.
For website purchases: Please wait to receive your pick-up confirmation e-mail and you may proceed to pickup your purchase any time during our open hours.
- What is the cost of shipping?
Enjoy flat rate shipping of $15 within Canada and the US.
- What are the pick-up policies?
If you live in Ottawa, ON, you may choose to opt out of shipping and pick up your item in store at 1281B Wellington Street West, Ottawa, ON. Simply select local pick up at check out!
You will have 3 weeks to pick up your purchases.
For Instagram purchases, you have 2 weeks to pickup your items from our store. After the two week passes, the items will become property of The Recollective. Please note, we cannot continue to track purchases that are not picked up after this time. We encourage you to come by the shop and pick up as soon as you can!
Please note that a 24 hr grace period is required for in store pick ups and all sales are final, with the option to re-consign the item if it doesn't work out.
- What is your return policy?
All items purchased through The Recollective are final sale. All items are sold in as-is condition and may show minor signs of wear.
We choose not to accept returns given that once an item has sold, the consignor receives payment for that item. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may consign the item through us. We thank-you in advance for your understanding!
- How do I request a Payout?
To request a payout, please fill in the Payout Request form under the Consign tab.
